ABOUT US

We are an open book. We want to be as transparent as a church as possible. Feel free to ask us anything you need. Contact us.

It is our hope that this page answers three basic questions. We want to make sure that you understand the personality of the church. We love God, love people, and would love for you to join us.

  • What does this church stand for?

  • Who is involved in working with this church?

  • What are people saying about this church?

WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE STAND FOR!

We are a welcoming, inclusive, affirming, and diverse community. We are theologcially progressive and we believe our faith is carried out by working for justice for all people. We believe that God's love is unconditional and we strive to live out that love every day. We hope that you will join us!

MISSION

Because Christ calls us to love all people, we live our faith through discipleship, diversity, acceptance, social justice and mission.

WELCOME

As an inclusive community of faith, Park Hill United Methodist Church is an open and affirming congregation, embracing diversity, service, unconditional acceptance, and the care and support of all people in the name of Jesus Christ. We invite all people to join our congregation in ministry and worship, including those of every race, ethnicity, language, age, physical or mental ability, gender identity, sexual orientation, political affiliation, socio economic class, marital status, and faith history.

COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION

We believe we were made to be relational people and we need community. Park Hill United Methodist Church prides itself on our community life, in and outside our church walls. We are a community that supports and encourages one another and a community that shows up to events that are important to our neighbors, city, and world.

We also believe that education is an important aspect of our faith life. We should be consistantly learning and developing our theology, as we move on this journey. Join us at 9:00AM on Sundays for our Education Hour for children, youth, and adults. And we have various small groups that meet throughout the week - check our calendar or contact us for more information.

TESTIMONIALS

"Many thanks for reminding me that there is much more to do than to feel despair and disappointment about turmoil and expanding divisions in America. My spirit gets a beating when I try to stay aware through all kinds of media. You make it easy for me and so many others to help, face to face and hand to hand, and ways to pass on the warm sense of hope I leave with when I am in your midst. Thank you to the incredible and welcoming communities of Park Hill United Methodist and Temple Micah for all you are doing!"

"I really enjoyed my visit here on yesterday. I was in town from Louisiana visiting friends and had a chance to attend both services. The services were lead by the youth of the church which is important since they are our future leaders. The atmosphere was inviting, and I felt welcomed as if it was my church home."
