Kickoff Sunday!

This Sunday, September 12, is Kickoff Sunday. Pastor John Thompson will begin a series of sermons with the theme Why Church? Don't miss a single Sunday!

Cafe Connections will hold their first class on Kickoff Sunday - Parenting Safe Children, led by Feather Berkower. Everyone is invited to meet with Feather at 10:00 AM in the Balcony Parlor. This interactive and informative session is a one-hour portion of her 3 1/2 hour Parenting Safe Children workshop. Feather Berkower is a 25-year veteran in child sexual abuse prevention. Her highly-regarded workshop empowers adults to keep children safe from sexual abuse.

Countdown to 100!

On Sunday, August 29 the United Methodist Men hosted the Hamburger Picnic & Vintage & Diverse Vehicle Display, in celebration of our 99th year On The Road to 100! In addition to live music we had a wonderful barbeque lunch, with children's activities that included them decorating their bicycles and strollers and having a "mini parade" around the block.

On Sunday, September 26 the Countdown continues with the Festival of Cultural Diversity, a fundraiser to benefit our Youth Programs, in Fellowship Hall, starting at 12:00 PM following the 11:00 Worship Service.

Come join us in a celebration of PHUMC's cultural diversity! We will have culinary delights from all corners of the globe, games and art project stations for our littlest world citizens, and fellowship from around the neighborhood and the world!

If you would like to attend but are unable to bring your favorite dish, the cost will be $5.00 for Adults (12 and over), and $2.50 for Children, with a $15.00 maximum per family.

We would love for all members and friends of PHUMC to share their recipes for any or all traditional dishes, which will be featured in our special 100th Anniversary Cookbook.

You can bring animals, props (like your favorite bible or something) and family members that aren't members. These pictures are great Christmas presents though.
