Tender Loving Care Ministry

Tender Loving Care Ministry at PHUMC is a caring Christ-centered ministry focusing on the unique needs of our congregation. If you are interested in being a part of this vital ministry at PHUMC, please contact Monica Johnson by calling the church office at 303-322-1867.

Ministry Focus:
We are caregivers to those in life transitions:
Hospitalized
Homebound
Health Changes
Grief issues
Many More

If you are interested in bringing Christ's love to people in life transitions and have the following gifts:
Listening
Showing compassion
Maintain strict confidentiality
We would love to have you join us.

Meeting Time/Commitment:
We meet once every other month as we gather for support, education and fellowship. Each caregiver signs up for one week a month to visit those in the hospital, nursing homes and the people on the "We Care Ministry" listing in the Sunday Bulletin.

Congregational Care Transportation Ministry

We currently have a special need in our congregation for transportation.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Congregational Care is looking for people to volunteer to drive those in need of rides to church service.  It is our hope to match drivers with riders by Zip Code.  Arrangements would be made between rider and driver with very clear expectations for each party.  Rides could be either one way or round trip.

If this ministry (either rider or driver) is your particular service area as a disciple of Jesus, please click here to complete the Transportation Ministry Form and submit it online.

Prayer Chain

Ministry Description:
This ministry is made up of dedicated prayer warriors who pray the prayer request for others. Prayer is an important part of our mission at PHUMC. God hears our prayers.

Ministry Focus:
What is the Prayer Chain? At each service, there are Prayer Chain Request Cards in the pew rack. All persons attending the service may complete a Prayer Chain Request Card and place it in the Collection plate. The lead person of the Prayer Chain starts the chain by calling the next person on the Prayer Chain listing. Those two persons call the next two on the chain, and so on.

Timing:
It is important that the prayers are embraced during the week following the Worship Service in which they are received.
